Three Central Points of The Prophets’ Da’wah: Ibn al-Qayyim

In one of his valuable written works, the great scholar ibn al-Qayyim included the following:

The da’wah of the Messengers centers around three main topics:

1) Knowing the Lord that is being called to by His names, attributes, and actions.

2) Knowing the path which leads to Him, and that path is: remembering Him, being grateful to Him, and worshiping Him. And that worship involves complete love of Him and complete humility before Him.

3) Teaching the people what is waiting for them once they reach Him. These are the blessings in the abode of His grace, the best and most splendid of which is Him being pleased with them, Him revealing Himself to them, Him allowing them to see His exalted Face, Him granting them peace, Him speaking to them, and Him bringing them into His presence.
